Trent Alexander-Arnold has been named the winner of the UEFA Men's Player of the Year award for the 2021-22 season.
The England international defender was voted the best player in Europe by his peers and coaches after a standout campaign with Liverpool.
Alexander-Arnold made 48 appearances for the Reds last season, contributing to their Premier League title win as well as reaching the Champions League final.
He also played a key role in securing England's place at the Euros, where they won the tournament for the first time since 1966.
In recognition of his achievements, Alexander-Arnold received a standing ovation from the Liverpool fans during the club's final match of the season against Manchester United.
"Winning this award is a massive honour," he said. "It's something I've worked towards for a long time and it's just incredible to be able to do it."
"I'm really proud to have been selected as the UEFA Men's Player of the Year and I want to thank everyone who helped me get here."
Alexander-Arnold's success on the pitch is matched by his off-field efforts. He is a vocal leader both on and off the field and has been praised for his professionalism and work ethic.
He is also known for his ability to read the game and make important tackles, earning him the nickname "the man with the ball".
With his performances on the pitch and off it, it's no wonder that Alexander-Arnold has been named the winner of the UEFA Men's Player of the Year award for the 2021-22 season.
